Born and raised in Fairfield, CT Daryl began his journey at an early age with a strong passion for music. He later discovered he had a talent with dancing and began to train intensely. Daryl attended college at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia. Daryl graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor's degree in Jazz Dance.
While attending the University of the Arts Daryl trained in other dance studios throughout the country such as the famed Broadway Dance Center in New York City and the Edge in L.A. As Ballroom Dancing began to grow in popularity with shows such as "Dancing with the Stars" and "So You Think You Can Dance" Daryl began training in Ballroom Dance at Fred Astaire and Arthur Murray Dance studios. He picked up the steps quickly and began teaching and competing shortly after.
Full dance training includes Ballet, Modern/Contemporary, Lyrical Jazz, Broadway style Jazz, Las Vegas style Jazz, Hip-Hop and Street Style dancing, African and Caribbean styles, Ballroom/Latin, Salsa, Capoeira, and Gymnastics. Daryl has performed in numerous shows across the country and now currently teaches here in South Florida.
Daryl's most notable work includes choreographing and teaching Latin dance moves for the 2 main stars of the movie "Step Up 4 Revolution" which was shot in Miami. Daryl has appeared in several music videos for artists such as Flavour, Christian James, and Kaiju The Unconquerable.
For over 15 years Daryl has taught group dance classes and private dance lessons throughout many dance studios, country clubs, and gyms across South Florida. Some of the places Daryl has taught includes Bongos Cuban Cafe at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, The Boca Raton Resort & Club, The Oaks at Boca Raton, Aberdeen Golf & Country Club, The JCC in Boca Raton and Boynton Beach, Salsa Central dance studio in South Beach and many more!
Daryl specializes in teaching wedding couples to dance for their Wedding's First Dance. Having your First Dance choregraphed or just knowing how to dance to your wedding song is standard now. Daryl is an expert when it comes to choreographing wedding dance routines. "There is nothing better than choreographing a couples First Dance, a memory that will last a lifetime."

Taking private dance lessons with Daryl was THE best decision i have ever made! I tried multiple group lessons in the past with different companies and made no headway on my dance skills. In only two sessions with Daryl I was already ecstatic with my results. He is very detailed and has a great personality to make learning fun and easy. Daryl Philibert is THE best dance instructor EVER. He himself is not only an incredible dancer but a very kind and encouraging teacher. I started dancing with Daryl in 2008 and he was very patient with me bc I was a very slow learner but he made me feel so comfortable and that was very important to me!! I have continued my lessons through the years and learned so much..I feel like a real dancer today!!! Thank you Daryl!
